On the Market: the Flatbush Gossip Girl House

New, 11 comments

Was it just earlier this week that the we were reading the story of the Gossip Girl segment being shot at a house on Albemarle Road in what is called, for real estate marketing purposes, Prospect Park South? Yup. Complete with slapping, if one recalls. We'll it turns out that the 1905-vintage house is on the market for a mere $2.35M. That's a 15-room Grand Colonial Revival with three floors. Check out some of the breathless copy about it:

Step onto this large wrap around front porch and enter into a grand foyer filled with all original oak detail. The foyer boasts beamed ceilings, fluted columns, a window seat, two Tiffany stained glass windows and a fireplace. This home offers a triple parlor...A large family room with coved ceilings and oak paneling that takes you on to the lovely private patio and private side yard...The home offers a large 5 room private office with a separate entrance.
We are disappointed that there is no pool in the back, but, well, it will forever have that Gossip Girl mystique about it.
