On the Racked: Mulberry Mania Lines Them Up, LIC Getting More Groceries, Slope 7th Ave. Curse Lifting, More

New, 2 comments

And now the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) Chelsea: Another day, another really long sale line. In this case, it's Mulberry Mania which generated a very slow moving line of 200 people or so yesterday vying to buy British leather goods at 75 percent off. The sale continues today. Right this way for a look at the goods.

2) LIC: Well, they won't be starving or at the mercy of Fresh Direct in Queens West after all. Hot on the heels of foodcellar, LIC is getting a Metfoods on 51st Ave between Vernon and 5th Street. Build it and they will come.

3) Soho: Check out M.A.C.'s fruity new window display.

4) Park Slope: Upper East Side shoes are coming to a long-suffering block on Seventh Avenue where businesses have been dropping like flies. Will mini-chain Eric Shoes be enough to lift the curse? Stay tuned.
