Cooper Square Hotel, Where the Door is Always Open (Almost)

New, 1 comment

When big shipping crates are delivered to a construction site it always grabs our attention, so when we saw a couple of huge wooden boxes stamped B&B Italia laying just inside the fence at the Cooper Square Hotel site on The Bowery we couldn't wait to see what was inside. These were labeled "Contract Division", the one-of-a-kind design sector over at B&B, so we figured this could be something extra-special. And we were not disappointed when we passed by a couple of days later: standing tall were two ginormous doors of dark exotic wood, dotted with a star burst of brass studs and reaching up to the top of the two-story glass atrium. Quite the place to make one helluva conspicuous entrance.
