CurbedWire: Robin Raj Bon Voyage, Dropping In On Willy Beav

EAST VILLAGE?Things afoot in the Upper EV, per a tipster: "There is now a sign above the infamous dive store Robin Raj on the corner of 14th and 3rd listing 5k of retail space. Wonder if they did not renew for financial reasons, or since the Chinese restaurant next to them out of business too, if the corner is finally going to be developed into something?" We've been waiting for this corner to fall for some time. A few doors down: One Ten 3rd. Across the street: another new high-rise condo. If the owner of the land decided to sell, the clock won't only be ticking on Robin Raj, but also One Ten 3rd's uptown views. And that's the first time we've ever heard the time "dive store," and we like it. [CurbedWire Inbox]

FIDI?A visitor to this past weekend's open house at André Balazs's William Beaver House writes, "Open house was surprisingly empty -- it ran from 12-4 and the sales agent was out at lunch at 3 and came back 10 minutes after we arrived near the end of the day. Showing it must have been pretty dead. The penthouse rooftop tenant lounge was amazing with views of Brooklyn and the Statue of Liberty, but much of it was unfinished. Some of the duplexes with balconies had shitty back alley views and locations which kind of took away from the purpose of the balcony. Overall, looked nice, but going to guess we will need a finished product to really tell - something tells me the prices are going to drop on these though." [CurbedWire Inbox]
