"This will be an interesting experiment. I'm not sure it's going to be good, because the etched bricks may just be too odd and aluminum is not a metal that ages in a pleasant way (unlike metals closer to natural materials - the old iron loft buildings have a patina that just gets better and better over time) -- but it will be interesting to see. At the Jewish Museum on Fifth Avenue, Roche & Dinkeloo made a similar addition, without the PoMo switch from masonry to aluminum, and it's one of the best recent additions in NYC."
