Eater Tastings: East Village Fights Back Against One Ten 3rd

New, 6 comments

This week's top dish from Eater, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1): The Toll Brothers' One Ten 3rd made the Upper East Village safe for luxury condo buyers. What, you thought the East Village wouldn't strike back? Coming to one side of the building, a bar from the Jake's Dilemma guy,, and on the other side, a two-story Chinese restaurant. Dudes, noise, vermin, etc.

2) In non-shocking Bowery 2.0 news, inaugural boulevard gentrifier Marion's Continental has finally given up the ghost.

3) Attention paparazzi: Midtown's storied Monkey Bar was bought by Graydon Carter.

4) Famed duo David Burke and Donatella Arpaia, of davidburke & donatella fame, are splittsville.

5) Prospect-Lefferts Gardens continues on its path to...something, as BK restaurant kingpin Jim Mamary adds to his portfolio in the 'hood.
