"What goes around..." indeed. Karma is on the move and emotions are bubbling up along the Bowery, where it's not just the new buildings that are rising by the minute. The neighborhood is changing faster than you can say John Varvatos, and not everybody is happy about it. Maybe this breaking of the brakes was payback by some tree-lover after a NYU newbie chained this old two-wheeler to that scarred-up trunk. Not even one of those etch-a-sketch bike shelters would have helped out here. But we're always glad to see when folks opt for the written response rather than rambunctious fisticuffs. A call to the neighbors around the corner might be the only way to settle this one.
