In terms of size, design and amenities (underground parking! courtyards!), The Dillon can certainly be considered a blockbuster. But for the most part, this Hell's Kitchen development?which takes up nearly the entire block of West 53rd Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, has flown under the radar. As far as we know, marketing and sales on the 85-unit, seven-story Smith-Miller + Hawkinson design have yet to commence, but take a stroll through Hell and it's a little tough to miss. It may look like ravioli now, but when done, ol' Dill here will boast nine triplex "townhouses" with scrim-like gates and 22 duplexes with "solar roof decks." Renderings of the finished product appear in the gallery above. Cra. Zy.
