1) Three tan houses with oval windows and gabled roofs have popped up on the top of a building at Broadway and 97th Street, and the building's owner is being cagey on the details. The completion date is unclear, and the units have not been advertised, but that hasn't stopped neighbors with views of the houses from making inquiries. The penthouses will be rentals. 2) Our old friend the Bacchus House is back(us) in the news. The restored Greenwich Village carriage house (owned by a liquor heir!) has turned up in a story on private homes with garages, and the price on the 8,500-square-foot West 10th Street home is given as $18.75 million, though the online listing still says $21.5 million. 3) The rowhouses and detached homes of Norwood are seeing some movement in the market, and the neighborhood is on the rebound, if you consider these characteristics a rebound: "Fresh vinyl siding gleams. 4) Broadway, Madison Square, Astor Place?they're all getting reconfigured for better pedestrian-friendly traffic flow, so why not the confusing roundabout of Grand Army Plaza?
