Downtown rabblerouser and quote machine John Penley is now taking aim at...artists! Well, British artists, to be precise. Page Six reports that a London art gallery" will open a show at 282 Bowery (the future Keith McNally restaurant) tomorrow, which has Penley all worked up: "This is not street-level graffiti or poor starving artists from the area. They're all rich. Paul Insect's last works were bought by Damien Hirst for $1 million. And they are all Brits. There are plenty of local downtown artists more deserving." Wait until this guy finds out that LORD Norman Foster is bound for the Bowery. [NYP/Page Six]
