If We Could Try a Lighter Shade of Blue ...

New, 15 comments

Something seems to have gone awry over at the saw-blade of a building near Times Square where, just a couple of weeks ago, a crew rolled out the first coat of primer on the vast wall rising above West 48th Street at 785 Eighth Avenue. Maybe it's the wet weather that caused all that paint to peel. Or perhaps a twenty foot square color swatch just isn't big enough. Then again, it could be that the blue of the sky threw off the color on the concrete. Whatever the reason, last week this intrepid crew was seen scraping off the flaking primer and sanding down the deep blue paint. It looks like they might be working on this wall a bit longer than originally planned.
