We usually don't categorize single-family townhouses as "developments," but more work probably went into this one 175-year-old townhouse than in any new high-rise in your Williamsburg or your Long Island City. Developer Blesso Properties bought the 3,500-square-foot Federal last year for $3.5 million. Having been in the same family for over a century, the building?then configured as two units?had some, uh, wear and tear. Check out the gallery for some "before" shots. Cue the renovation! The façade was restored. A double-height living room was created. The private garden was spiffied up. Also new: finished basement, full-floor master bedroom suite, walnut floors and stairs, white marble, multi-room audio systems, etc. But it ain't all contemporary, folks. Salvaged items include the four fireplaces and the doorknobs. The renovation will be complete in the fall, and now the bionic townhouse can be yours, seeing as how the Six Million Dollar Man is a few bucks short.
