This is 153 Lincoln Place in Park Slope, aka The Lincoln, a building with 10 units that has just hit the market. Our Park Slope DDJ is actually one of the more interesting buildings in the neighborhood, and not just because it was once the Babcott Mansion and was designed by noted architects Lamb & Rich. No, the Romanesque Revival building, which has been undergoing a redo for some time now, was one of the most notorious buildings in the Slope during the years it functioned as a whore house short-stay hotel. The building was sold in 2002 and this the end product is a collection of two- and three-bedroom duplex and, uh, simplex residences that echo "the grandeur and luxury of a bygone era." Not the most recent era, which wasn't so grand, but a really bygone one.
