Located directly behind the luxury rental apartment tower The Ludlow, this new LES tower between Houston and Stanton Streets has not been very forthcoming with details. Until now! Nearly buried on the personal website of the building's owner Serge Hoyda, the Hotel Ludlow is revealed. The design, by architect H. Thomas O'Hara, reminds us of the nearby Hotel on Rivington wth its floor-to-ceiling glass, but it differentiates itself by including whatever else is going on with that façade. Hotel Ludlow is currently under construction and should open to the public early 2009.An exclusive rooftop hotel lounge to rival the soon-to-open one at the Thompson LES just one block away? This is war, folks. Or, at least, a fun game of rooftop water balloons. However?early 2009? We love positive thinking, but c'mon...
