They say art imitates life, but the signage slapped on an empty lot at Second Avenue and 30th Street is a case of advertising imitating advertising, and they nailed it. The ad for ABC's prime time drama Dirty Sexy Money reads, "Residency available beginning Wednesday. We'll do the dirty work. The city's sexy new address. Where money can buy everything." Looks like the photographer was fooled (title of photo: "Grotesque yuppie come-on for new condo"), and probably some others, too. For complete accuracy, however, the ad men should have done this in the Financial District, or at least slapped a SHVO logo on it.
