The Post reports that the new TKTS booth in Father Duffy Square (in Times Square) will open this month, just three months after the previous reported opening date of June 20th. Oh, and there's this: "the rebuilt operation, which sells discount, same-day Broadway and off-Broadway tickets, forced taxpayers to pony up $11.4 million of the final $19 million price tag. The new building will end up being 18 months late and more than 100 percent over its original $8 million cost estimate." And the cruelest tragedy of all: Rent didn't live to see it. [NYP; previously]
