To be honest, we hadn't made up our minds on the controversial garbage garage planned for the western end of Spring Street. On one hand, we understand the Sanitation Department's long-expressed need for an area facility, and on the other, we get why residents feel a massive building for garbage trucks is not the biggest step forward for the resurgent West Soho. But now that the Ear Inn has come down against the proposal, the matter has been decided. Sorry, Sanitation, case closed. End of story. We side as our liver instructs us, and so we side with the Ear.
