Flashbulbs were popping on the High Line on Sunday night, as Calvin Klein took over the northern end of the railway for a $3 million Fashion Week party that was so hip, CK himself skipped it. But what those silly little fashionistas didn't realize was that the real show on the High Line was at 6 a.m. the next morning, when the first grasses and perennials arrived at the Meatpacking District leg of the future park-in-the-sky. After a quick unloading and headcount, the planting of the High Line began. The High Line Blog has full coverage of this momentous event, and photos of gardening have never before been so enthralling. Live strong, little guys.
