Brooklyn, the Fragrance

New, 20 comments

First things first, "Brooklyn," the new fragrance from Bond No. 9 that will be available in March, won't be cheap: $220 for a full bottle and $145 for a half bottle. Now, we could joke about how it should smell like the Gowanus Canal at low tide after a rainstorm has filled it with raw sewage or like Newtown Creek near the ExxonMobil Oil Spill or like particularly nice stretches of the BQE. But no, that would be wrong. Actually, it "captures the young vibe of Brooklyn" and smells like grapefruit, cardamom, cypress, cedar and leather. The "graffiti-inspired bottle retains the borough's grit and edge." Puhlease. [NYP]
