Before Christmas, we had pics of rent due notices on the doors of the Steelworks Lofts sales office on N. 6 Street in the Burg. The development had already announced it was suspending sales for the winter. When we passed by last week the notice was gone and there was just a phone number and email address for people that want info about the condos. Uh, the situation has changed. A valued Williamsburg tipster sends pics taken today that they've now been served with eviction papers. We just hate when that kind of thing happens, especially to a development for which we had such high hopes.
