Hodgman on Park Slope Degentrification

New, 1 comment

Writer/NPR commentator/Daily Show contributor/PC John Hodgman spent last week fielding readers' questions on the Times' City Room blog, but fortunately Fucked in Park Slope has excerpted all the answers that matter: the ones where Hodgman discusses Park Slope. On the shuttering of his beloved Tea Lounge: "It is sad to see so many businesses shuttering in this economy, though I suspect those who lived here before it was settled by the affluent pilgrims from Manhattan take some schadenfreudic pleasure that the first to fall have been the coffee shops, kids' boutiques, vegan markets and stores dedicated solely to the sale of a single model of all-clad butter warmer."
