The November edition of the Case-Shiller Home Price Index shows an 18.2% drop in home prices , the steepest plunge on record, but not as bad as economists predicted. Yay? The Real Deal takes a look at the local numbers: prices in the New York metropolitan area fell 1.6% between October and November, and 8.6% year-over-year.
