One Madison Park and A Building (among others) architects Cetra/Ruddy are joining firms such as Skidmore Owings & Merrill, FXFowle Architects and Perkins Eastman in laying off staff, The Real Deal reports. The firm has trimmed 15% of its staff over the past year, but don't call it downsizing, call it "rightsizing" (says Nancy Ruddy). Also getting rightsized: Corcoran, which TRD also reports is closing its Harlem office on Frederick Douglass Blvd. at 120th Street. Said Corcoran boss Pam Liebman: "Harlem remains a very important market for us and we fully intend to provide the same degree of coverage that exists there today." [Real Deal]
