The David and Jed Walentas Atlantic Avenue cabana controversy made the big time over the weekend and it's worth noting because it's so freaking funny. The battle has been noted for more than a year on blogs. The locals say that Two Trees illegally put cabanas on top of their building at 200 Atlantic Avenue. The Walentases say the things are elevator and stairway bulkheads. We're guessing a lot of people spit coffee laughing all over their paper or, god forbid, their laptops. The neighbors say the cabanas/stairwell bulkheads gotta go. Can't wait to see pics of people sunbathing in stairwells this summer. [NYT; click on the photo to expand]
