The spate of bad news for local landmarks continues with an update on Ninth Avenue's Cheyenne Diner, which has been shuttered for nine months while awaiting a move from Hell's Kitchen to Red Hook. Chelsea Now reports that a plan to move the diner in two parts via the Manhattan Bridge fell apart because the Cheyenne is too big, and a back-up plan to float the building to the Red Hook waterfront by barge may be too expensive. If so, the move could be scrapped, and so too could the Cheyenne. [Chelsea Now]
