Who says the commercial real estate market is tanking? The Park Department has sold vending rights for the north-side entrance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, at Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street, for $362,201. Rights for the Met's less-trafficked south-side entrance, just 100 feet away, went for $280,500. The deals last for five years and they both went to the same guy, who used to sell jewelry on Canal Street. Oh, and hot dogs will now cost $10,000 apiece. [NYPost]
