CurbedWire: Adventures in Listing Photos, One Ten 3rd's New Neighbor

New, 8 comments

EAST QUOGUE?We're in this quiet little Southampton hamlet because a Curbed tipster seems to think the photo at right, included in the listing for a tiny little beach getaway priced at $569K, is worthy of LOLz. At first we agreed because we thought it was a real kid caught in mid cartwheel, but on closer inspection it appears to be a statue. Folks, we will not mock art. As someone we can't remember once said, "Art is the desire of a man to express himself, to record the reactions of his personality to the world he lives in." And out in Suffolk County the world is very wheeeeee! [CurbedWire Inbox]

EAST VILLAGE?EV Grieve reports that Robin Raj, every late-night East Village reveler's favorite overpriced NYU-area bodega, is just about ready to relocate next door, to the former Grace & Hope Mission next to the Toll Brothers' One Ten 3rd. This reminds us that we were in Robin Raj last weekend and asked an employee about the move. He told us they paid under $30,000/month in rent on the 14th Street and Third Ave. space, and the landlord was raising the rent to $60,000/month. Yowza. He also said the landlord hadn't found a taker yet. [CurbedWire Inbox]
