And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.
1) Midtown West: Turns out W Hotels don't just sell peanuts and replacement toothbrushes. There are also La Rok dresses, Adler vases, and J Brand jeans.
2) NYC: Anthropologie is launching a new reality show, Man Shops Globe, in which the store's buyer-at-large cris-crosses the world looking for items for in-store displays.
3) NYC: Lucky Magazine vice president and publisher Gina Sanders says there's a class of buyers called alpha shoppers, people who are tired of watching their spending. Alpha shoppers see shopping as a sport, and 78 percent of them plan to "splurge" this fall. We suspect real estate buyers are not among them.
