On Top of New Gehry, All Covered With Steel

New, 11 comments

A day after we gave Frank Gehry's rising Beekman Tower some love, the Observer's Eliot Brown unleashes a photo gallery from his Bruce Ratner-guided walk-through of the rental tower, currently rising up 67 stories. The building is still too rough on the inside to make out what life inside Frank The Rippler will be like, but we're digging the above cross-section shot of a wavy curtain-wall panel. Some updates: The crane was shut down yesterday due to high winds, the tower is 77 stories tall (not 76) and the name is just Beekman, thankyouverymuch. You know, like Madonna or Gallagher.
