And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.
1) Herald Square, Williamsburg: Ruffian designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais are designing a line of menswear for Macy's called Threads & Heirs that will, oh boy, be inspired by Williamsburg. The Burg is "a hotbed of art culture. It's very Americana, Fifties and Beat-inspired mixed with punk." Check out the preview above.
2) Downtown Brooklyn: The Atlantic Terminal Target store is never one to play by the big-box rules, and they've done something naughty again?releasing Carlos Falchi's technicolor faux-skin bags five days early!
3) Soho: In a bit of high-brow holiday shopping news, art book publisher Phaidon is opening a pop-up shop on Wooster Street on November 2. It'll carry all sorts of goodies, including signed collector's editions of work by artists like Stephen Shore, Nan Golden and Luc Tuymans. Your hip aunt will love them!
