Willets Point? Bam! Moynihan Station? Pow! And now it's Hunters Point South that's showing signs of life. The city's massive plan for 5,000+ rentals (60% reserved for middle-income households) and other fun stuff on 30 acres of waterfront Long Island City land just got some promo posters slapped up on-site this morning. The signage went up right in front of and around LIC's Powerhouse condominiums, which stand to lose some Manhattan views to the megaproject. Buyers may gripe, but the land was once earmarked for an Olympic Village, so they had to know something would come eventually to the barren wasteland.
