On the Racked: UES Inspires Betsey Johnson, More!

And now, the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) UES: Designer Betsey Johnson is unveiling a new design for all of her stores. The prototype, which opened last month, is all the way in California, but Johnson was actually inspired by the white space in her new Upper East Side pad.

2) Soho: The Here/Nau/NYC pop-up shop opens at 69 Mercer Street today, with Timberland, Loomstate, and Malin + Goetz merchandise on display and live events. More importantly, the store is made of garbage, er, sustainable materials.

3) Midtown West: Apparently, the Shoshanna and Anlo sample sale gave The Standard a run for its money. A little modesty, people!
