So here's something totally cool: Times photographer Fred R. Conrad recently revisited some properties around the city that were photographed for tax purposes before World War II and again in the '80s. The series of threes are presented in a photo gallery that shows how much, or little, the city changes over time. Above, Tribeca's 16 Thomas Street, which went from a five-story loft building to a McDonald's to an even bigger McDonald's! Bet the neighbors still wish it was the '30s.
