One of the attendees at this week's Brooklyn real estate roundtable was developer Kevin Lalezarian, whose Brooklyn Gold luxury rental development is one of the 4,862 new developments to hit the Downtown Brooklyn market in the last couple of weeks. Did Lalezarian show up at the roundtable to tearfully bemoan the competition, apologize for hastening the rental apocalypse, and announce major price cuts? Just the opposite! According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the luxury rental developer said luxury rentals in Brooklyn are doing just great. "High-end" apartments and "tremendous amenity space" have generated a lot of interest (no word on actual rentals). In fact, the developer "just recently decided to add a pool." Golden!
