Daniel Goldstein, the man lying in front of the Atlantic Yards bulldozer, is now being offered less by the state for his Prospect Heights condo than he paid for it in 2003, and less than half of what Atlantic Yard developer Bruce Ratner offered him for it four years ago, according to a Wall Street Journal op-ed. The decision in Goldstein's eminent domain case against the Empire State Development Corporation should be made any day now. The op-ed writer is in the pro-Goldstein camp, but if the court is not, the state will give Goldstein $510,000 for his $590,000 condo. Consolation prize? [WSJ; previously]
