On the giant whiteboard on which we rank things that completely change our lives, we've just erased, well, everything in favor of Columbia University's New York Real Estate Brochures Collection, a database of vintage (c. 1920s-1970s) floorplans and brokerbabble that's infinitely more world-rocking than the project name suggests. Only Brooklyn's floorplans are online for now, but Manhattan's 1,740 buildings will be joining them in January.
