It appears a squatter pulled off quite the remarkable scam (for a while, at least) when he waltzed into a $2,500-a-month Williamsburg apartment and made himself at home. At least that's what we've gleaned from the few details available in this Post item. The squatter got a bit too comfortable, calling the city to complain about the lack of heat in the place. Cops showed up and a fight ensued, and the guy was charged with burglary, trespassing and resisting arrest. Well, that's one way to avoid paying a broker's fee. [NYP]
