A Visual Timeline of Harlem's Gentrification, or Lack Thereof

New, 5 comments

Local blog HarlemCondoLife directs us to Invincible City, a repository for ghosts of Harlem's past. Click on one of the many dots on the neighborhood map, and voila, a photographic history of the building will appear. Above is one randomly chosen nifty example, 65 East 125th Street between 1977 and 1995. There's also a clickable timeline for each building, opening up a whole new world of gentrification watch possibilities.
