Trouble on Karl Fischer Row

New, 2 comments

Williamsburg's 20 Bayard was recently thrown into bankruptcy by its developer, and The Real Deal reports on the latest court proceedings, which give a window into the developer vs. lender feud. Developer Isaac Hager asked the court to let him resume using the unsold units' rent payments (more than half the 64 units went rental) and parking fees to pay the maintenance charges, but lender W Financial Fund says the appraisals being used are outdated and the developer would use the payments to cover his legal bills. Let's just decide this by who makes a meaner casserole, as is building tradition. [Real Deal; previously]
