Dutch Kills Boom Extends to House's Growth Spurt

New, 1 comment

A Dutch Kills engineer was fêted as a hero when he added a couple floors to his corner brownstone at 30th Street and 39th Avenue. Why? Weird zoning laws, since reversed, made the addition the first new residential construction built as-of-right in the quiet Long Island City microhood in nearly 50 years. Now liQcity heads back to the scene to get a shot of the finished product. Mission accomplished! liQcity also updates the world on other new Dutch Kills projects, mostly budget hotels "settling into quiet blocks lined with family houses. Sigh." Once the fancy cocktails arrived nearby, it was only a matter of time.
