When some scaffolding came down in the long-awaited new Atlantic Terminal LIRR entrance along Flatbush Avenue a few months back, a tipster's spy shot of one particular design element blew our minds into a million little pixels. Now that the grand entrance is on the verge of opening, the Brooklyn Paper got a sneak preview and reports back with a look at the finished "craggy geometric shapes" made of granite and designed by Allan and Ellen Wexler. The inspiration came from scenic overlooks at state parks, and we're digging it, even if the scenery will end up being a bit less tranquil than bushes and streams.
