But finally, a tipster reports, the copper panels that make up the building's skin are getting slapped on the building's facade. Isn't it odd that the Copper Building name belongs to something else? WILLIAMSBURG?Mayor Bloomberg and his posse may have launched the next phase of the McCarren Pool today, but some local ragamuffins aren't ready to say goodbye to the old pool quite yet. Curbed roving photog Will Femia recently spotted some kids using police barricades to scale the wall and ride their bikes in the big empty pool. Now that's creativity someone of any age can admire.
