A court ruling was upheld against the Corcoran Group, reaffirming an earlier decision that the brokerage committed a no-no by stealing a fired broker's electronic client list. Broker Sarit Shmueli had been awarded $400,000 in compensatory damages and $1.2 million in punitive damages, but that $1.2 million judgment got wiped out. Seven years ago Shmueli got canned and returned to her desk only to be locked out of her computer, losing info on 1,400 clients. [Crain's]
