Michael Gross, journalist and foremost chronicler of the upper crust, has an idea why the CEO of parking-and-storage company (and The Ludlow developer!) Edison Properties is so involved in the campaign to rid Central Park of its horse-drawn carriages. The Far West Side stables that house the horses are located near some prime Edison lots, and the CEO has previously written: "Currently, the stables consist of 64,000 square feet of valuable real estate on lots that could accommodate up to 150,000 square feet of development."
