What is it about 5 Great Jones Street, an awesomely oldtime loft building between Broadway and Lafayette in Noho, that gets our heart beating a little faster? Maybe it's the fact that jazz great Charles Mingus was evicted from his onetime home here because he fired a gun through his wall into a neighbor's apartment, per Wikipedia. Or maybe it's this new-to-market co-op, a 2,300 square foot 2BR. There's no floorplan to be found on the Bond listing page, but the places faces the street and has a certain vibe that even Mingus probably would have enjoyed. Asking $1.995 million.
