MEPA & GRAMERCY?Cable network Bravo has announced the nominees for its annual "A-List Awards," and if you're wondering what that has to do with us?yeesh, can you hold your freakin' horses for a second? One category is "A-List Hotel," and a pair of New York inns are nominated: Ian Schrager's Gramercy Hotel, and André Balazs's brand new Standard New York. The other nominees are the 101 Hotel in Reykjavik, Faena Hotel in Barcelona and London's Haymarket Hotel, which will probably be tough to beat. Vote early and often. By the by, this was just an excuse to run another photo of the inside of the Standard, seen above. [CurbedWire Inbox]
CHELSEA?Sam Chang-developed hotels start, and then they stop, Holes are dug, and holes are filled. They're nearly finished, and then they're sold. A tipster alerts us to the latest haps at a new jewel in the McSam Hotel Group crown: "I think Sam Chang is out of his project on 28th Street between Sixth and Seventh. The building hadn't been moving in months, and there's now a bit of activity." Don't count the Changster out just yet, friends. [CurbedWire Inbox]
