The owners of Brooklyn's Starrett City, the country's biggest federally-subsidized housing complex, have mercifully decided to end their lengthy quest to sell the 46-building property for $1 billion or more. The owners now say they do not plan to pull out of the state's Mitchell-Lama program, the Times reports. Meanwhile, at Harlem's faltering Riverton Houses, an auction scheduled for the 1,230-unit property has been called off, The Real Deal reports, though it's unclear why. [NYT; Real Deal]
