The spiffy pair of new aquariums at Staten Island's St. George Ferry Terminal, launched with so much fanfare a year ago, are now giant tanks of death and despair. The Staten Island advance reports that only 10% of the 400 original fish have survived, for a combination of reasons: cannibalism, stress (stop banging on the glass!) and the terminal's constant bright lighting being the big ones.
