Union Square Renovation Approaches #1, #2 Milestones

New, 4 comments

Will the Parks Department meet its Fall 2009 target for the completed renovation of the north end of Union Square Park? We really can't say. But what we can report is that the park will be, uh, flush with toilets. Broker-blogger Andrew Fine has some fresh photos of the renovation work, and while most of the area remains a dug-out mess, at least the foundation for the new restrooms has been laid (above). Will all those dapper anti-renovation protesters show their displeasure with the project by passive-aggressively "missing" the urinals? The mind races!
