Eater's hearing a fresh rumor about the possible conversion of the Rainbow Room—the famed 30 Rock restaurant shuttered last month by the Ciprianis—into sweet, sweet office space. Says an Eater tipster: "Apparently some Rainbow Room employees have witnessed reps from architecture firm Gensler coming in several times over past couple weeks (since Tishman and Cipriani settled lawsuit re: Cipriani's exit by Aug 1), scoping out plans for conversion to office space for occupancy by Lazard, which currently controls floors below Rainbow Room and Grill."
